Graham named RMAC field athlete of the week
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Pole Vaulter Lauren Graham was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the RMAC announced Wednesday.
The sophomore from Lancaster, Calif., broke the school record in the indoor pole vault with a mark of 3.90 meters to place third at the Air Force All-Comers Meet on Jan. 14. That mark also automatically qualified her for the NCAA Championships.
It was the second time in her collegiate career that Graham had been named field athlete of the week for indoor track. The first was on Jan. 27, 2010. She also received the honor for outdoor track on March 31, 2010.
Graham was named All-American for outdoor track after her freshman year and was the RMAC Women's Track Freshman of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
