UCCS men's track ranked fifth in Central Region

The men's track team from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs is ranked fifth in the Central Region in the U.S. Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches' Association's Week #1 regional team index.

The index is intended to measure a team's all-around power ranking and is based on NCAA performance lists.

The Mountain Lions have an index of 163.13, narrowly bettering sixth-place University of Mary by just under eight points.

The top four in the Central Region, which includes schools from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the Northern Sun Conference are: Minnesota State (344.98), Nebraska-Kearney (342.21), Adams State (232.23) and Minnesota State-Moorhead (215.56).
