Track & Field Teams Select Captains for 2011

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs track & field teams announced their captains for the 2011 season. Representing the women's team will be Ashley Benfield, Allison Watson and Kaitlin Frier. The men will be represented by Canyon Parcell, Chris Reynolds and Jason Shaver.
"The coaching staff would like congratulate the selection of our 2011 Team Captains," said UCCS coach Mark Misch in an email. "We feel confident that these people will do a great job of representing the program on the track, in the classroom and in the community."
Frier, Reynolds and Shaver are all seniors. Benfield, Watson and Parcell are sophomores.
Shaver and Reynolds were both members of the UCCS 1,600-meter relay team that took first place at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Championship in 2010.

June 8, 2011UCCS track & field adds 12University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field coach David Harmer announced Wednesday that the Mountain Lions had signed 12 athletes to join the team for the 2011-12 season.Among the newcomers are two Colorado Springs standouts: T.J.
