Kelsey Barry of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field First Team All-Academic, the conference announced Wednesday. Teammate's Alicia Del Pardo and Kaitlin Frier were named to the all-academic honor roll.

Barry, a Business major with a 3.92 GPA, was the only junior on the all-academic first team, which also featured four seniors, four sophomores and a redshirt freshman.

The Mountain Lions' top mid-distance runner, Barry took third in the 800-meter run at the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 2 minutes, 15.63 seconds. Her top time this year was 2:15.00, which just barely missed a qualifying mark for the national championships. She was also a member of the Mountain Lionsâ€TM 4 X 400 relay team.

Del Pardo and Frier competed in the 10,000- and 5,000-meter runs respectively.

To qualify for Academic All-RMAC, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution. Graduate students must have earned a 3.30 in their undergrad and graduate classes. The listed GPA is what the student-athletes had earned prior to outdoor track & field season beginning. RMAC Sports Information Directors at schools that sponsor the sport of womenâ€TMs track & field selected First and Second Teams Academic All-RMAC.
