Snow forces cancellation of Mines meet, UCCS will compete in Pueblo instead

The series of spring snowstorms that has created havoc among Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference sports schedules chalked up another victim when the Colorado School of Mines Open Track & Field Meet was canceled.

UCCS, which was scheduled to compete at the Mines meet, will now compete at the CSU-Pueblo Open, which was added to replace the Mines meet.

Below is the expected schedule of the meet:

9:00 AM Women's Discus Throw - Men's Discus Throw follows
- Women's Shot Put will start at the completion of the Women's Discus Throw
- Men's Shot Put will start at the completion of the Women's Shot Put
- Women's Hammer with start at the completion of the Women's Shot Put
- Men's Hammer with start at the completion of the Women's Hammer

10:00 AM Women "˜s Pole Vault - Men's Pole Vault follows

10:00 AM Women's Long Jump - Men's Long Jump follows
- Women's Triple Jump will start at the completion of the Men's Long Jump
- Men's Triple Jump with start at the completion of the Women's Triple Jump

11:00 AM Women's High Jump - Men's High Jump follows

9:00 AM Women's 10,000m Run
9:50 AM Men's 10,000m Run

10:30 AM Women's Steeplechase
10:50 AM Men's Steeplechase

11:10 AM Women's 400 Meter Relay
