Seven Mountain Lions Named to RMAC All-Academic Track Teams
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs athletes Dan Pinter and Kelsey Barry were named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field second-team All-Academic, the RMAC announced Wednesday.
Pinter, an Accounting major with a 3.48 GPA, has been named all-academic three times each in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. The senior from Saline, Mich., was an 11th-place finisher this season in the men's 1,500-meter run at the RMAC outdoor championships in Gunnison.
Barry, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, earned a 3.92 GPA in Accounting. She took sixth place at the RMAC outdoor championships in the 800-meter run.
Alex Tiernan and Joel Kienitz from the UCCS men's team were named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll. On the women's side, Kaitlin Frier, Christy Severy and Tracy Falsetto were all named to the honor roll.
