Women Finish Sixth at CC Invite

Jessica Hudson placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 24.06 seconds and gave the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Mountain Lions 10 points Saturday at the 12th annual Colorado College Invitational. Hudson's time is the third-best in school history.

The Mountain Lions finished with 43 total points, just a single point behind fifth-place Metro State.

In the mile run Shannon Payne finished finished second with a time of 5:16.28. Sarah Shepard finished third justunder six seconds behind Payne. Jenna Dorsey-Spitz, Kristen Andersen, Tavia Hammond, Lisa Short finsihed fifth, sixth eighth and tenth respectively. The Mountain Lions collected 22 of the possible 39 points in the event.

Kelsey Berry earned five points with her fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.55. Barry also got the Mountain Lions six more points in the 200-meter run by finished third with a time of 27.27 seconds.
