Three UCCS women compete on second day of AFA meet

By Marc Knutila published February 3, 2007

Just three University of Colorado at Colorado Springs women competed on Saturday at the Air Force Invitational at the US Air Force Academy.

With the bulk of the Mountain Lions action happening yesterday, UCCS had a subdued day of competition.

Freshmen Kelsey Barry was able to finish seventh in her 60-meter hurdle heat, which was good for 21st overall.

The busiest participant of the day was freshmen Danielle Clasby who competed in both the triple jump and the shot put.

Clasby finished 7th in her heat of the triple jump, but was unable to qualify for the finals. She was also unable to qualify for the finals of the shot put.

The only other competitor was Cori Brewer who was unable to post a mark in the high jump.

Some members of the women's team will compete at the Husky Classic on Friday, February 10th in Seattle Washington.
