Allen named field athlete of the week

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs high jumper Storm Allen was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's field athlete of the week, the conference announced Wednesday.

The freshman from Colorado Springs cleared 2.00 meters Saturday at the Potts Invitational in Boulder to earn first place in the event. His effort bettered that of the events other two competitors, both of whom were from NCAA Division I schools.

Allen and the Mountain Lions will next compete Saturday at the Rob Upton Invitational in Fort Collins.
