UCCS trio heading to nationals

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs runners Shannon Payne, Ashley Birger and Brad Winn are headed to nationals.
The trio will be competing at the NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 25-27 at Emporia, Kan.
Payne qualified in the 10,000-meter run, the 5,000-meter run and the 3,000-meter run but will compete only in the 10,000 at nationals. Birger will compete in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Winn will run in the same event on the men's side.
Two other Mountain Lion runners, Megan Lund and David Harmer, barely missed the cut for a trip to nationals
