Women Compete at Jack Christiansen Invitational
The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs competed in the Jack Christiansen Invitational in Fort Collins on Saturday.
Megan Lund was the Mountain Lions top finisher of the day. Lund finshed second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18 minutes and 56.82 seconds.
Lund's sister, Whitney, finished seventh in the event with a time of 20:49.52.
Megan and Whitney compbined to give the Mountain Lions 10 points to thier team score.
In the 1,500-meter run Ashley Birger and Shannon Payne finished in seventh and eighth respectively. Birger's time was 4:54.19 while Payne was right on her heels with a time of 4:55.61. Together they gave the Mountain Lions three team points.
Jessica Hudson finshed 16th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.81.
Hudson also competed in the 400-meter dash. Hudson finished 11th with a time of 1:00.28.
Cheutney Ellerton placed eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time 13.25 and netted the Mountain Lions a point towards the team's total.
Caitlin Cochran and Ellerton finished 19th and 20th respectively in the 200-meter dash.
