Lund Finishes Seventh at RMAC Indoor Championships

Senior Megan Lund competed with the best the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference had to offer Friday in Chadron, Neb., and the junior from Basalt, Colo., shined.

Lund finshed seventh in the 5,000-meter run, with a time of 18:39.95, in a field of 22 of the RMAC's best runners.

Freshman Addie Devine and sophomore Whitney Lund also competed in the 5,000 meters. Devine finished 16th with a time of 19:49.89. Lund, who has been improving upon on her times all season, finished 19th in 20:46.53.

The Mountain Lions also performed well in the distance medley. The team of Sarah Shepard, Ashley Birger, Tina Gray, and Shannon Payne fniished fourth out of eight teams with a time of 12:28.63.

In the 200-meter dash, freshman Cheutney Ellerton finished 20th with a time of 29.09. Also competing in the race was Cherdaria Mack, who finished 23rd with a time of 29.60.

Ellerton and Mack both ran the 400-meter dash as well, finishing 21st and 22nd respectively. However, it was freshman Caitlin Cochran who had the best finish. Cochran placed 19th with a time of 1:07.15.

In Mack's third event, the long jump, she placed 19th with a distance of 4.43 meters.
