Payne named runner of the week

Mountain Lions sophomore Shannon Payne was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Womans Indoor Track Runner of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Payne finished second in the 3,000 meter run at the Air Force All-Comers meet on Friday to kick off the spring indoor track season. She ran a time of 10 minutes, 49.36 seconds.
Payne currently leads the RMAC performance list by more than 28 seconds with an altitude-adjusted time of 10 minutes, 21.27 seconds.
