UCCS Men Finish Up at RMAC Championships

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs 4X400 meter relay team of David Harmer, Chad Lenz, Mark Brehm and Jay Luna provided the Mountain Lions with their only points Tuesday, the final day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Gunnison, Colo.
The UCCS quartet ran the distance in 3 minutes, 36.44 seconds to take seventh place in the event, good for two team points.
In other events Tuesday, Alex Tiernan led three Mountain Lions in the 800-meter run with a 17th-place finish. Brad Winn was the best of eight UCCS entries in the 1,500-meter run with a 13th-place finish. Lenz competed in both the long jump and the triple jump, taking 19th in the long jump.
