By Doug Fitzgerald published May 8, 2006

Ryan Price took fifth place in the men's 10,000-meter run to provide the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with four of its six points Monday on the first day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Jason Braun grabbed one point in the steeplechase by finishing seventh while Aaron Rubalcaba-Lopez did the same in the 10,000-meter run.

Te Mountain Lion competed in only three events Monday, seriously limiting their point-earning capability.

Kyle Reno joined Price and Rubalcaba-Lopez in the 10,000, finishing 13th. Gabe Small, Kevin Moulton and Alex Tiernan came in ninth, 10th and 12th respectively in the steeplechase.

UCCS' other competitor Monday was Chad Lenz, who finished 19th in the long jump.
