Don Barrett Invite good reps for Mountain Lions
Mark Brehm competed in three events Friday night at the Air Force Academy at the Don Barrett Invitational. The small meet proved to be good reps for the Mountain Lions.
"Meets like this one are great repititions for the team," said head coach Graeme Badger. "It's hard for us to improve our times drastically since we can't train on an indoor track, but this allows us great practice."
In the long jump, Chad Lenz improved his mark with each attempt. His final mark was 20-00.00 with was good enough for seventh, beating one Division I jumper.
Brehm's three events were the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash.
In the 60 meters, Brehm finished third with a time of 7.45.
Brehm didn't fare as well in the 200 and 400, though. In the 200 Brehm finished seventh (23.30) and 10th in the 400 (52.82).
