Troubles for Mountain Lions at Air Force

By Matt Sandstead published February 4, 2006

The bulk of the points the Mountain Lions earned at the Air Force Invitational came from the 5,000-meter run.

All three of the runners from UCCS who competed in the 5,000 meters scored points. Ryan Price, Gabe Small and Kyle Reno took fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

The Mountain Lions were disappointed they were not able to compete due to a disqualification of one of their sprinters. They were notified late Thursday night that they would not be able to compete in the 4X440-yard relay.

"We're a little disappointed we couldn't run, but we'll get through it," said Mark Brehm.

UCCS placed 10th overall.
