May 15, 2006Winn, Harmer earn provisional qualifying timesIn the world of track and field, meets help just prior to nationals are often referred to as "last chance" meets since they offer elite runners one final opportunity to earn or improve upon their national qualifying times.It would appear the Mountain Lions know how to take advantage of last chances.Brad Winn and David Harmer both scored provisional national qualifying times at the Emporia State Twilight Meet Saturday at Emporia, Kan. The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs athletes will find out later this week if the marks will hold up and earn them a return trip to Emporia for the NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 25-27.
