Outdoor RMAC Day 2

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs wrapped up its final day at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Championships with even more fine performances.

Shannon Payne finished second in the 5000 with a time of 19:08.10. The freshman finished more than 20 seconds in front of the third-place runner. Whitney Lund also ran in the race, placing eighth. Tina Gray and Ashley Birger both ran well in the 1500, finishing fifth and sixth respectively.

Kaitlyn Marsolek just edged out teammate Tiffany Flint for fourth place in the 400. Marsolek ran it in 59.57 while Flint's time was 59.64. Marsolek and Flint also teamed up with Cherdaria Mack and Sara Stroud to place sixth in the 4 x 400 relay.

Sara Cowhick and Leah Thompson both ran the 800. Cowhick placed eighth, Thompson tenth.

This was UCCSâ€TM final meet before NCAA Outdoor Championships in Abilene, Texas.
