Outdoor RMAC
The University of Colorado Springs women's track team had several good performances on its first day of competition at the 2005 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track Meet in Alamosa.
Sarah Shepard posted another NCAA provisional time in the 3,000 m steeplechase. Shepard blazed in with a time of 11:44, good for third place. Fellow Mountain Lions Tina Gray finished in fourth with a time of 12:08.
Kaitlyn Marsolek and Tiffany Flint ran well in the 400 prelims both qualifying for the finals on Tuesday. Flint finished second in her heat with a time of 59.81. Marsolek also placed second in her heat at 1.00.50.
A pair of freshman competed in the 100 m for the Mountain Lions but failed to qualify for the finals. Cherdaria Mack ran a 13.52 and Cassie Martinez a 14.44.
