RMAC Outdoor Day 2
Moses Tum had a pair of top four finishes as the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs men's track team competed at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Championships in Alamosa.
In what was one of the closet races of the day, Tum finished third in the 800. Tum ran it in 1:58.39, but was edged out by a pair of freshman. Western State's Larry Witte won the race while Adams State's Nick Lara finished second. Steve Phillips and Dan Pinter also ran the 800 for the Mountain Lions. Tum also placed fourth in the 1500 with a time of 4:09.70.
Aaron Rubalcaba-Lopez had another fine showing, this time in the 5000. Rubalcaba-Lopez finished eighth in 16:23.44. Jay Luna and Gabe Small also competed for UCCS in the 5k.
This was UCCS' final meet before NCAA Outdoor Championships in Abilene, Texas.
