COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (6-5-1 / 5-3-1 RMAC) took six shots on goal an doubled Colorado State-Pueblo (4-7-2 / 2-5-2 RMAC) in overall shots as the Mountain Lions and ThunderWolves played to a 0-0 tie tonight at Mountain Lion Stadium.

The decision keeps the Mountain Lions in third in the RMAC standings with five games remaining in the regular season. UCCS maintains an eight-point advantage over seventh-place CSU-Pueblo with the top six teams advancing to the conference tournament at the end of the month.

UCCS maintained an offensive attack throughout the game, and in addition to the advantage in shots, the Mountain Lions also held an 8-to-2 advantage in corner kicks. UCCS had corner kick opportunities in both overtime periods, with the opportunity in the second period leading to a series of three shots in front of the ThunderWolf goal. James Roberts took two shots that were blocked by the CSU-Pueblo defense before Luke Chapman recorded a shot that was controlled by ThunderWolf goalkeeper Patrick Markis.

Mountain Lion goalkeeper Brandon Costa earned his fourth shutout of the season and the eighth of his career. He moved into a tie for third in program records with Scott Eacker (1989-91) and fourth in season records with Mike Archuleta (2001).

Up Next: The Mountain Lions remain at home for a 7 p.m. game with Adams State. UCCS won its first game against the Grizzlies 2-0 on Sept. 26.
