Amy Sutz is beginning her first season as the inaugural University of Colorado Colorado Springs Spirit Director. She’s spent the last year as the staff sponsor/coach for the team. The Cheer Club has been up and down over the past 15 years.
Sutz will guide the UCCS efforts to enhance the quality of the cheerleading and spirit efforts at campus sporting events and in community events throughout the Pikes Peak region.
Sutz graduated from UCCS in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science and earned her MBA in finance in 2007. She was a cheerleader for the Mountain Lions when completing her undergraduate degree and also spent time as a cheerleader at Doherty High School.
Sutz is married to Graym Sutz, and together they have two girls.
