Krebs Featured on RMAC Radio Show
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs Hall of Fame softball catcher Crystal Krebs was one of the three featured guests on this week's edition of the RMAC Radio Show. Krebs spoke with host and Assistant Commissioner Eric Danner about her upcoming induction in the conference hall of fame in July.
Krebs reflected on what the induction means for her after her playing days for the Mountain Lions in 2004 and 2005. She also talked with Danner about how she arrived at UCCS and how she transitioned to coaching and teaching at Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, Colo. Krebs also talked about her involvement with the UCCS softball program during the preseason practices.
Krebs will be the first softball student-athlete in conference history to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and also the first UCCS student-athlete. Krebs was the 2004 NCAA Division II Catcher of the Year and set the national record for home runs per game in 2005. She won the RMAC triple crown twice and was the first Capital One Academic All-American in school history.
