COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team returns to the RMAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 seed Colorado Christian on Thursday, May 2, at Colorado Mines at 10 a.m. It's the second tournament appearance for the Mountain Lions in the last three seasons.

UCCS fell to Colorado Christian in both games between the two teams by a combined three runs in Lakewood, Colo., on April 20-21. The Mountain Lions and Cougars will be meeting for the first time in the conference tournament in program history.

A win for UCCS would mean a game on Friday at 10 a.m. against the winner of No. 2 Colorado Mesa and No. 7 Fort Lewis at Lakewood Park. A loss would mean facing the loser of the Mesa/Fort Lewis game at 4 p.m. Thursday at 4 p.m.

The winner of the conference tournament will receive an automatic bid in the NCAA Division II South Central Region Tournament, scheduled for May 10-12. The Mountain Lions were No. 10 in the latest regional rankings.
