Black Hills State Series Canceled
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The four-game softball series between the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and Black Hills State has been canceled due to the winter storm that moved through South Dakota earlier this week. The series will not be rescheduled.
Spearfish, S.D., received 19 inches in the most recent storm and the forecast includes low chances of snow on Saturday and Sunday. The RMAC Code requires games to be played between Friday and Monday, and once a series begins, it must be concluded within 48 hours.
The Mountain Lions have eight games remaining in the regular season against four teams. UCCS will play Colorado Christian and Western New Mexico in a conference pod weekend April 20-21 in Lakewood, Colo., before hosting a pod with Colorado Mines and Colorado State-Pueblo April 27-28.
