Final Game of New Mexico Highlands Series Cancelled
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The final game of the softball series between the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and New Mexico Highlands University is cancelled due to current weather conditions in Colorado Springs. The game will not be rescheduled.
The Mountain Lions run-ruled the Cowgirls in all three games on Friday by a combined score of 52-9 and hit nine home runs. UCCS improved to 9-0 at home for the first time since 2006 and is fifth in the RMAC standings.
UCCS will travel to Grand Junction, Colo., next weekend for a four-game series with Colorado Mesa. The series begins at noon on March 29.
