The University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team (14-9-1 / 9-5 RMAC) hosts New Mexico Highlands (10-18-1 / 3-12-1 RMAC) this Friday for a tripleheader. The Mountain Lions have swept both home tripleheaders this season and are 6-0 at home for the first time since 2007.

UCCS is leading the RMAC in batting average (.351), stolen bases (32), runs (161) and fielding percentage (.966), and is second in the conference in on-base percentage (.426) and RBIs (148).

Payton Kornfiend and Jourdan Hitchings lead the team in stolen bases and are fourth and fifth, respectively, in the conference. Hitchings also leads the team in batting, with an average of .487, which is fifth best in the RMAC.

Leading the way for the Cowgirls is Shelby Watts, who is first in the RMAC in homeruns with nine and tied for first in RBIs with 34.

The Mountain Lions are led on offense by Jessica Belsterling, who is seventh in the conference for homeruns with five and Allie Corids, who is fifth in the conference for RBIs with 25.
