Mountain Lions Start the Season 3-0-1

DENVER, Colo - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs softball team (3-0-1) records its first tie in program history today as the game against Colorado Mines gets called 5-5 in the 5th inning.

Peyton Kornfeind had a team-high of two RBIs as she went two-for-three in the game. TJ Flodman and Becca Needler each recorded an RBI, with one hit in the game. Flodman went one-for-three, while Needler had the only homerun for the Mountain Lions. Korey Kulpin allowed seven hits in a no decision finish for her first start this season.

UP Next: UCCS will be back in action for the final game in Denver of the weekend as they take on Adams State again, starting at 11:00 a.m.
