Adjustments Made to TV Broadcast Schedule

By Doug Fitzgerald published March 4, 2010

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Information Technology Department announced Thursday that the broadcast schedule for two televised softball games have been altered. All games will be aired on Comcast Channel 20.

The broadcast for the doubleheaders on March 6 and March 27, both Saturdays, had originally been scheduled for noon the following day. Since fans, players and coaches of thos games will be playing during the originally scheduled times, those broadcasts were pushed back to the following Monday.

Josh Howe, the former weekend sports anchor at KRDO and frequent contributor to the RMAC Showcase TV show, will call the play-by-play action for all games except the March 6 doubleheader against New Mexico Highlands. Jay Ritchie will call those games.

Former UCCS players will provide color commentary, starting with Jennifer Dykstra on the March 3 broadcast and Lindsay Shandera on March 6.

Due to equipment limitations, none of the games will be aired live. Each date is a scheduled doubleheader and the games will be aired back-to-back.
