Admission to be Charged at Home Games

published February 24, 2010

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs announced Wednesday its 2010 pricing for admission for home softball games. UCCS students, faculty and staff will still be admitted free of charge. Otherwise, the admission price will be $6 for adults and $3 for non-UCCS students, military, senior citizens and children under 12.

Until this season, UCCS had been one of a handful of schools that did not charge admission for softball. That, however, was owed primarily to the lack of an outer fence at Mountain Lion Field, making formal entry control points impossible. The fence has since been installed, which will allow admission fees to help offset the cost of running the softball program.

Mountain Lion Field is a part of Four-Diamonds Sports Complex, which is located at 5025 North Nevada. Fans coming from the North should take Exit 145 and turn left at the first stop light. Four Diamonds Sports Complex will be on your left about 2/3 of a mile after making the turn. From the south, take Exit 146 and turn right. Turn left at the third stop light (N. Nevada) and proceed about 1/2 mile. Four Diamonds Sports Complex will be on your right.

Mountain Lion Field is just to the left of the brick building in which the restrooms and concession stand are located.

For the 2010 season, UCCS will be charging admission to their home softball games.
Admissions rates are as follows:
$6 for Adults
$3 for Students
$3 for Military, Senior Citizens, and Children Under 12
FREE to all UCCS Faculty, Staff, and Students
