Mines Sweeps Mountain Lions
GOLDEN - The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs was held to two runs on eight hits in dropping both ends of a doubleheader to the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers Tuesday at CSM Softball Field.
Mines won the opener 10-2 before shutting out UCCS 8-0 in the nightcap. Both games ended in five innings by virtue of the NCAA's run rule.

The Orediggers scored in every inning in the opener, including eight runs in the first three innings. In Game 2, they got four in the second, one in the third and three in the fifth.
Katie Kocman went a combined 5-for-7 with four RBIs for Mines, while teammate Kaleigh Starr went 3-for-6 with four RBIs.
