Snow Forces Postponement of UCCS/Mines Softball Doubleheader
COLORADO SPRINGS -- A sudden snow storm forced the postponement of Wednesday's scheduled softball doubleheader between the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and the Colorado School of Mines. The games will now be played on Wednesday, April 23, at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Mountain Lion Field.
Both teams have plenty at stake when the games are played. UCCS is battling for a spot in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference postseason tournament. Mines has all but secured its berth into the playoffs, but is hoping to secure the No. 1 seed and the right to host the tournament.
UCCS will hold its Senior Day festivities during Sunday's games against Regis as originally scheduled.
