UCCS Ranked 36th in GPA

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs softball team ranked No. 36 nationally in grade point average, the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association announced Thursday.

The Mountain Lions posted a cumulative GPA of 3.254.

Lindsay Shandera, Brianna Workman, Sarah Brisky, Cara Newlon and Nicole Link were all named academic all-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Shandera was the RMAC Academic Player of the Year.

The UCCS Athletic Department as a whole had a cumulative GPA of 3.18, which was well above the overall student body GPA.
