Haney Named All-American
Stacy Haney became the second University of Colorado at Colorado Springs softball player to be named All-American Wednesday when she was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches' Association) Division II third team.
Haney led the nation in RBIs and won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Triple Crown by leading the conference in RBIs, home runs and batting average. She also led the RMAC in doubles, on base percentage, slugging percentage, total bases, hits, walks and runs scored.
Besides RBIs, Haney was also nationally ranked in slugging percentage (third), batting average (sixth), home runs (seventh), runs scored (13th) and walks (25th).
Haney follows Crystal Krebs as a UCCS All-American. Krebs was named to the NFCA's first team in 2004 and second team in 2005.
