Haney Gets Fourth Player of the Week Award

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs center fielder Stacy Haney was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference player of the week for the fourth time this season, the conference announced Tuesday.

In six games last week, Haney batted .562 with nine hits on 16 at-bats. In three of the six games, she collected two hits each, including going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored against Colorado Mines on Sunday. For the week, she had eight RBIs, six runs scored, two home runs and a double.

Haney's hitting streak reached 21 games to set a new UCCS school record. She also broke the UCCS single-season record for hits in a season (71 by Crystal Krebs, 2005). Haney now owns the school single season records for RBIs (79), hits (72), and runs scored (61).

The junior from Littleton is leading the RMAC in batting average (.514), on base percentage (.579), slugging percentage (1.007), home runs (17), total bases (141), runs hits and RBIs.
