Haney Wins Third Player of the Week Award

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs center fielder Stacy Haney was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference player of the week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Haney went 9-for-16 this past week (.562) at Nebraska-Kearney, scoring nine runs and recording 11 RBIs on two doubles and four home runs. Haney hit a pair of solo home runs during Saturday's third game, the second of which broke Crystal Krebs' UCCS single-season RBI record of 70.

Haney now has an RMAC-best 71 RBI with 14 games remaining on the schedule. She is leading the conference in batting average, RBI, home runs, on base percentage and slugging percentage.

In 23 occasions with a runner on third and less than two outs, Haney has scored than runner 22 times. She is also currently riding a 15 game hitting streak.

It was the third player of the week award for Haney this season.
