KEARNEY, Neb. - Friday's softball doubleheader between the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Nebraska-Kearney has been cancelled because of snow and ice on Kearney's Dryden Park softball field.

The two teams hope to play a tripleheader Saturday with the first game beginning at 11 a.m. A representative of the Kearney Parks and Recreation Department, however, was not optimistic that the field would be playable by that time.

Furter updates will be posted as they are received but none are expected until Saturday.
