Carlson Named All-Region

University of Colorado at Colorado Springs outfielder Brittni Carlson was named to the NFCA/Louisville Slugger All-South Central Region second team on Friday.

It was the second time the senior from Erie, Colo. had been named All-region.

Carlson hit .426, the fourth-best mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. She was also third in the conference in RBIs with 58 and placed in the top 10 in eight offensive categories.

Over her four-year career, Carlson set new UCCS career records for runs, hits and RBIs, was second in home runs, at bats and doubles and third in stolen bases.
