Assistant Men's Soccer Coach
Brian Miller, a former collegiate player, will join Coach Johnnie Keen in his second season on the Mountain Lion coaching staff. Miller was a four-year letter winner at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, from 2006-10. Following a standout collegiate career with sweet sixteen and final four appearances, Brian came to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs to receive his master’s degree in counseling.
In Miller’s first year as an assistant coach, he helped the UCCS Men’s soccer team to a 7-6-1 conference record and a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament appearance. The 2011 coaching staff also produced two RMAC second team and two RMAC honorable mention players.
In 2009, Miller was unable to play due to medical reasons and took on the role as an assistant coach for the UW-Oshkosh Titans. As an assistant coach, Miler helped the Titans to a 13-4-2 record and a top 25 national ranking.
The Chippewa Falls, WI., native appeared in 74 matches during his four seasons with the Titans, Scoring 17 goals and 16 assists, and compiling a record of 56-15-10. UW-Oshkosh advanced to the NCAA DIII Tournament in his sophomore and senior seasons. As a sophomore in 2007, he scored both game winning goals, propelling the Titans past Wartburg College and Whitworth University landing UW-Oshkosh in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. His senior season included a team leading 9 assists and 5 goals, pushing his undefeated squad to the NCAA DIII Final Four in San Antonio. He was tabbed to the WIAC All-Conference Team in 2010 as well as the NSCAA Academic All-Region Team.
Miller finished his career at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh by receiving his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in wellness promotion and an impressive 3.7 GPA. He was often on the university’s Dean’s List and a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society.
