Mountain Lions Ranked No. 9 in NCAA South Central Regional Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team (9-5-1, 6-5-1 RMAC) remains in their No. 9 ranking in the latest NCAA South Central regional poll released earlier yesterday morning.

Unbeaten and nationally ranked No. 2 Colorado Mines (15-0-1, 13-0 RMAC) owns the top spot in the South Central region, followed by RMAC members Metro State (11-3-3, 9-3-1 RMAC) and Fort Lewis (13-3, 9-3 RMAC).

UCCS and New Mexico Highlands (8-5-3, 6-5-1 RMAC)  round out the field of ten in ninth and tenth place respectively. Tied for fourth place in the RMAC standings with 19 points apiece, UCCS will face a crucial showdown when they host the Cowgirls of N.M. Highlands on Friday Night. The winner of Friday night's match will secure fourth place in the conference, also ensuring the right to host a first round RMAC playoff game.

Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Mountain Lion Stadium.
