Levett and Arnadottir Garner RMAC All-Academic First Team Honors
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Hannah Levett and Agnes Arnadottir find success on and off the field as the pair of leading scorers for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team were both named to the RMAC First Team All-Academic announced by the conference office earlier today.
The RMAC distinguishes between All-Academic First Team and Honor Roll nominations. To be considered for the award, student-athletes must hold a minimum of a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, be enrolled at their current institution for two consecutive semesters, and be considered a starter or key reserve on their squad.
Levett is a two-time RMAC All-Academic honoree, receiving the honors in both consecutive years of her eligibility. As a junior, Levett boasts a 3.86 cumulative GPA as a sport management major. In 2012, Levett was received RMAC All-Academic Second Team honors.
In 2013, Levett has started and played in all 10 of the Mountain Lion games with 12 points off of six goals scored. Levett is tied for the team lead in goals with fellow honoree Arnadottir, and ranks second in the RMAC in goals per game. She has played in 47 games to date in her career, and has never missed a game in the Mountain Lion uniform. Her 15 career goals, 11 assists, and 41 points ranks her second in assists, and third in goals and points in UCCS program records.
Arnadottir received RMAC All-Academic honors for the second time in her career, after an honor roll nod in 2012. She holds a 3.68 cumulative GPA in a masters degree in sports nutrition. She leads the RMAC in goals per game and game winning goals per game, and is second in points per game. She has started and played in nine games for UCCS and leads the team in points with 13 with six goals and one assist. Arnadottir is the most successful forward in UCCS career history as she holds the program records for game winning goals (7), goals (21), and points (51).
Hannah Rather (3.89), Jessie Greulich (3.95), and Annick Pearson (3.87) all received a spot on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
The Mountain Lions (7-3, 4-3 RMAC) are fresh off a 2-0 upset victory on the road this weekend against Fort Lewis. They will return to action on Friday night when they host the Mountaineers of Western State (4-7-1, 1-6-1). Game time is set for 5 p.m. at Mountain Lion Stadium.
