Roberts Earns NSCAA All-Region Second Team Honor

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs junior midfielder James Roberts continued to earn postseason honors with a selection to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-South Central Region Second Team this morning. He's the first Mountain Lion on a NSCAA all-region team since 2010.

Roberts led UCCS with 15 points off of six goals and three assists. He was a member of the Daktronics All-South Central Region First Team, the Capital One Academic All-District First Team and the All-RMAC Second Team. He was a two-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week twice during the 2013 season to become the first Mountain Lion in program history to earn the weekly offensive award twice in the same season.

UCCS finished the season in the conference playoffs for the third straight season and the 12th time in program history. The Mountain Lions fell in the tournament in a shootout to the eventual tournament champion and finished with a 6-7-4 overall record.
