Mountain Lions Ranked No. 7 in Latest NSCAA Regional Poll
KANSAS CITY, Kans.- The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's Soccer team (6-3, 3-3 RMAC) has received a No. 7 ranking in the latest NSCAA South Central Region poll released earlier this morning.
The Mountain Lions have moved down two spots from their previous ranking after dropping a pair of tough one goal conference losses over the weekend. UCCS played host to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Regis University (3-5-1, 1-4-1 RMAC) on Friday night, and despite outshooting the Rangers, UCCS lost their first game in regulation this season in a 1-2 decision.
UCCS travelled to Grand Junction, Colo. to finish the weekend with a matchup against Colorado Mesa University (5-5, 4-2 RMAC). Agnes Arnadottir and Hannah Levett both netted goals in the back and forth action, but it was Colorado Mesa that prospered in the end with the 3-2 win.
The Mountain Lions will return to action on Friday, Oct. 11 when they travel to Durango, Colo. to take on the No. 5 ranked Fort Lewis College.
