Soccer Doubleheader at Colorado Mines Moved Earlier Due to Impending Weather

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's soccer doubleheader at Colorado Mines on Friday has been moved up due to the impending weather forecast in Golden. The men's game will take place at 1 p.m., with the women's contest to begin at 3:30 p.m.

All four teams involved in Friday's games have clinched a spot in the RMAC tournament, and each team has a chance to earn a first round bye in next week's tournament. The Colorado Mines men's team is second in the conference standings and one point ahead of UCCS. The Orediggers are third in the NSCAA and NCAA South Central Regional Polls.

The women's game will feature the No. 18 Mountain Lions and the Orediggers, who are receiving votes in the same national poll. Both teams are in contention to make the NCAA postseason season based on today's South Central Region rankings and are separated by one point in the RMAC standings. A win for UCCS would guarantee a bye in next week's conference tournament.

Live video for both games will be available for $8 each through America One Networks. Colorado Mines will provide live stats for free for both games, with updates on the @GoMountainLions twitter feed. Admission to both games at the CSM Soccer Stadium is free.
