UCCS Claims RMAC Playoff Spot in Largest Offensive Output of Season

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's soccer team (8-6-1 / 7-4-1 RMAC) scored six goals from six different Mountain Lions and claimed a spot in the RMAC Tournament in a 6-2 victory today (1-14 / 0-11 RMAC) at Cougar Field.

The victory clinched a postseason appearance for the Mountain Lions for the second straight season. UCCS is second in the RMAC standings with two games remaining in the regular season. The four teams behind the Mountain Lions each have either three or four games left in the season.

After the Cougars scored the first goal in the game in the 19th minute, UCCS scored five unanswered goals within a 30-minute span. The Mountain Lions played a majority of the second half with reserve student-athletes.
