Mountain Lions Receiving Votes in New National Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team (11-2-1 / 7-2-1 RMAC) received votes nationally in the latest Continental Tire National Soccer Coaches Association of America.. The Mountain Lions also improved from sixth to fourth in the latestNSCAA South Central region poll released today.

The Mountain Lions have received votes and national mention for the first time since the NSCAA National poll on Sept. 18 poll when they were ranked No. 11.

The NCAA Regional poll will be released for the first time this season tomorrow. The poll is used by the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Committee for determining the postseason teams.

The Mountain Lions are in a three-way tie for first in the RMAC standings. The Mountain Lions are unbeaten in their last five games and finished their regular season home schedule on Sunday with a 9-1-1 record. 

UCCS begins a four-game road stretch this Friday at 3:30 p.m. when they travel to Lakewood, Colo. to take on Colorado Christian before going to Las Vegas, N.M. to take on New Mexico Highlands on Sunday at 1 p.m.
