Mountain Lions Improve to Sixth in Regional Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team moved from eighth to sixth in the most recent Continental Tires National Soccer Coaches Association of America South Central Region poll released this morning.

The Mountain Lions are coming off a 1-0 win against Colorado Christian on Friday and a 2-2 tie with Colorado Mesa on Sunday. Mesa is receiving votes in today's new national poll.

UCCS closes out the regular season home schedule this weekend and looks to improve on its 7-1-1 home record. The Mountain Lions host Adams State on Friday night at 5 p.m., and finish on Sunday morning with Colorado State-Pueblo at 11:30 a.m. UCCS is among the teams playing for an opportunity to host an RMAC tournament game at the end of the month.

The Mountain Lions are led on offense by Hannah Levett's five goals this season. Kelly Schroeder is leading the defense with six shutouts and is No. 10 in RMAC career records with 12 in her career.
