Mountain Lions Improve to Fourth in Regional Poll
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Fresh off of a 3-0 start, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team moved into fourth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's South Central region poll. This matches its highest regional ranking in program history.
The Mountain Lions improved to 3-0 with a 4-1 victory over Saint Martin's on Friday night. In the game, Hannah Levett had two goals for the second straight game, and Jade Hilbert and Anges Arnadottir finished with a goal each. Jenna Gist provided an assist on the two of the goals.
This is the second straight year that the Mountain Lions have started 3-0 and third time in program history that the Mountain Lions have started 3-0.
The Mountain Lions are one of six RMAC schools listed in the regional poll. Fort Lewis leads the poll, with UCCS in fourth and Colorado Mesa in fifth, Colorado Mines in sixth, Metro State in seventh, and Regis rounds out the RMAC schools that are ranked in eighth.
The Mountain Lions look to continue that success when they face Western Colorado at 6 p.m. at Mountain Lion Stadium. A win would provide the first 4-0 start in program history.
