Women's Soccer Starts Fall Practices with Week-Long Retreat
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - After the best season in program history last year, University of Colorado Colorado Springs Head Women's Soccer Coach Nichole Ridenour will open the 2012 fall season early Monday morning before the team departs in the later morning for a week-long retreat. The Mountain Lions will train in Winter Park, Colo., before the start of classes on Aug. 20.
UCCS had the second-best home attendance average in the RMAC last season and ranked eighth in Division II in total attendance. The Mountain Lions set team records in fewest goals allowed and second in program history in goals scored.
UCCS opens the 2012 regular season with six straight home games, starting with Fort Hays State on Aug. 31. The RMAC schedule begins with New Mexico Highlands at home on Sept. 14.
